In laboratorio israeliano trapiantato con successo un osso creato dal grasso del paziente. L’azienda biotecnologica israeliana Bonus BioGroup sta sviluppando ossa partendo dalle cellule grasse del paziente. Recentemente l’azienda ha segnalato il successo di uno studio clinico che ha coinvolto 11 pazienti ed ha portato alla riparazione di una massa ossea partendo proprio dal procedimento sviluppato il laboratorio.
Il materiale, cresciuto in un laboratorio a partire da cellule di grasso estratte dal paziente, è stato iniettato per riempire i vuoti presenti nell’osso problematico. Nel corso di pochi mesi il materiale si è indurito e si è fuso con l’osso esistente “ricostruendo” la mascella danneggiata del paziente.
Secondo il comunicato dell’azienda:
Il trapianto ha avuto successo pari al 100% in tutti gli 11 pazienti. Ora si procederà con uno studio clinico su altre ossa, come quelle lunghe degli arti.

L’annuncio è stato effettuato dalla Bonus Biogroup la quale ha presentato i suoi risultati alla Conferenza Internazionale sulla Chirurgia maxillo-facciale (International Conference on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) recentemente tenuta in Spagna.
Queste le dichiarazioni di Shai Merski, CEO di BioGroup:
Per la prima volta a livello mondiale, la ricostruzione del tessuto osseo carente o danneggiato è realizzabile da un crescente e valido innesto osseo umano effettuato in un laboratorio e trapiantato di nuovo al paziente con un intervento chirurgico minimamente invasivo, perché basta una iniezione.

Mentre l’annuncio della società è incoraggiante, la tecnologia è attualmente in fase di sviluppo e deve ancora essere sottoposta a più ampi studi clinici e all’approvazione da parte delle autorità mediche per quanto riguarda la sua efficacia e la sua sicurezza. Attualmente non è ancora disponibile ma attendiamo noi sviluppi.

In Israeli laboratory successfully transplanted a bone created by the patient's own fat. The Israeli biotechnology company Bonus BioGroup is developing bones starting from the patient's fat cells. The company recently reported the success of a clinical trial involving 11 patients and resulted in the repair of bone mass starting right from the process developed the laboratory.
