Dott. Giuseppe Cotellessa

Introducono e moderano: Carmine Marinucci, Presidente DiCultHer · Giovanni Piscolla, Direttore DiCultHer · Silvia Mazzeo, Responsabile DiCultHer Academy

ore 15:10 · “Ora, lege et labora“, “Ecologia dell’intelligenza” e Premio «Dino Buzzetti»

Sadeen Aljariri, Amman, Giordania, Videomessaggio.

ENGLISH

On Friday, October 30, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Webinar #176—the fourth day of the First #DiCultHer National Congress—will take place.

Titled “What Kind of School Do We Want to Inhabit?”, this webinar serves to wrap up the Congress. Contributors to issue 18 of the journal *Culture Digitali*, alongside participating schools, will revisit the year’s work; Alessandra Agnolon will explore the European dimension of #DiCultHer, and Beatrice Artizzu will join the session from Seoul.

The webinar will also feature the presentation of the “Dino Buzzetti” Award, which honors the school project that best aligns with Dino Buzzetti’s philosophy:

interpreting rather than merely retrieving,
treating cultural heritage as an environment of meaning,
acknowledging one’s own mediations and limitations.

These three criteria also serve as the answer to the question posed in the title. The school we wish to inhabit is one that interprets, treats what it receives as an environment of meaning, and openly acknowledges its own limitations rather than concealing them.

Looking ahead to the 2026–2027 cycle, this session paves the way for the new program, which will be unveiled during the webinar on November 6 and presented in person on November 16 at the Press Room of the Chamber of Deputies.

We ask everyone—speakers, teachers, and students alike—for just one thing during the afternoon: a single sentence that answers the question in the title. We will pick up from there on November 6. Program
3:00 PM · Opening
Introduced and moderated by: Carmine Marinucci, President of DiCultHer · Giovanni Piscolla, Director of DiCultHer · Silvia Mazzeo, Head of DiCultHer Academy

3:10 PM · “Ora, lege et labora” (“Pray, read, and work”), “Ecology of Intelligence,” and the “Dino Buzzetti” Prize

Silvia Mazzeo: “Ora, lege et labora: A Civic Rule Put to the Test in the Classroom.” Rather than merely explaining a principle, this segment examines its practical application—showcasing 109 student projects and exploring what happens when a teacher puts this concept into practice.

For the “Dino Buzzetti” Prize, the three evaluation criteria and the jury’s rationale will be presented, followed by insights from those who carried out the work: the students themselves, alongside their teachers.

3:40 PM · Alessandro Fusacchia, author of *Interspecie* (“Interspecies”): “What can I write that an artificial intelligence cannot? That which remains untranslatable within each of us.”

– How our perspective on the same issue shifts when viewed from different countries.

Alessandra Agnolon — On #DiCultHer’s European projects and international relations.

Beatrice Artizzu — Joining from Seoul, presenting the *BoomHUB* project.

Hatice Kırmacı — Founder of *Women Science Teachers* (Turkey).

Jessica Gessoli — Joining from Brazil.

Sadeen Aljariri — From Amman, Jordan (via video message): From Jane Jacobs’ “eyes on the street” to the concept of a “contractual neighborhood.”

Conclusion: What kind of school do we want to inhabit? Reflecting on the experiences from the first DiCultHer Congress, serving as a bridge toward November 6th, when we will unveil our programming for 2026–27.

CULTIVATE, EDUCATE, HUMANIZE — The three verbs that guided us throughout the Congress. On October 30th, let’s try to frame these in the future tense:

CULTIVATE, because knowledge is not generated with a single click. It requires time, attention, care, relationships, and responsibility.
EDUCATE, because AI is not merely a technological issue. It challenges our judgment, freedom, and citizenship—our capacity to discern, verify, and choose.
HUMANIZE, because no innovation is truly innovative if it impoverishes relationships, homogenizes cultures, or strips individuals of the responsibility for their own decisions. Innovation gains meaning only when it strengthens dignity, inclusion, plurality, democracy, and the common good.
